Passive Voice of the Verb is NOT when YOU do something, but when something is done TO YOU:

IT'S NOT 'I ask questions all the time.' - Я запитую весь час. BUT

Try to do or try doing?

gerund

I think I'll try setting my alarm a bit earlier. - Я думаю, що спробую встановити свій будильник трохи раніше.

 

 to-infinitive

I tried to get up early but I couldn't. - Я спробувала встати рано, але я не змогла.

Go on doing or go on to do

gerund

She went on sleeping as the sun crept up. - Вона продовжувала спати поки сонце піднімалося.

 to-infinitive

After introducing her proposal she went on to explain the benefits for the company. - Після винесення на розгляд своєї пропозиції, вона перейшла до пояснення переваг для компанії.
